Laser Cutter Chuck Selection

In line with the customer-centric service philosophy and to continuously enhance the team’s professional technical proficiency, BUVA Laser recently conducted a special training session on “Selection of Tube Laser Cutting Machines” for all employees. This training aimed to systematically transfer knowledge, enabling our team to better understand the products and master the technology, thereby providing cutting solutions that more closely meet customer needs.

During the training, HU Gong, Technical Director of BUVAuncom, analyzed the core selection dimensions of tube laser cutting machines, laying a solid theoretical foundation for subsequent customer service. The main content covered the following three key aspects:

Selection by Automation Level:

Automation is primarily reflected in the loading method of the cutting machine.
According to the customer’s production scale and automation requirements, tube laser cutting machines are mainly divided into three categories:

Manual Loading Cutting Machines:

Suitable for flexible scenarios with frequent product changes and small-batch production.

Semi-Automatic Loading Cutting Machines:

An ideal choice for medium-volume production, balancing efficiency and cost.

Fully Automatic Loading Cutting Machines:

Designed for large-scale, continuous production to maximize output efficiency. The most suitable tube diameter for fully automatic loading cutting machines is ≤ 60mm.

Manual Loading vs Semi-Automatic Loading vs Fully Automatic Loading

Selection by Chuck Configuration:

Ensuring Stable Clamping and Precise Positioning – It can adaptively adjust the clamping force according to pipes of different materials and diameters, fix the pipe from both inner and outer sides to avoid deviation and vibration, and ensure the pipe center is aligned with the axis of the cutting tool to guarantee a flat and non-inclined cut.

Number of Chucks:

Provides dual-chuck and triple-chuck configurations to handle tubes of different lengths and weights, ensuring extreme stability during cutting.

Chuck Diameter:

In addition to conventional diameters such as 120mm, 170mm, 240mm, and 360mm, BUVA Laser also supports fully customized services to meet the clamping requirements of any special tubes.

Selection by Processing Length:

To comprehensively cover the processing needs of different industries, the equipment offers a rich selection of loading lengths:

Standard Lengths:

Provides serialized standard options such as 3m, 6m, 9m, and 12m.

Custom Lengths:

Can provide fully customized loading length solutions based on the customer's specific processes and raw material situations.

This training is one of BUVA Laser‘s routine initiatives to build a learning organization and strengthen its core competitiveness. We firmly believe that a professional and efficient team is the fundamental guarantee for serving customers well. In the future, BUVA Laser will continue to refine team capabilities through a series of trainings, committed to bringing customers better product experiences and more professional technical services, working together to create value.
