BUVAuncom Laser’s Winter Anti-freeze Maintenance Recommendations for Water-Cooled Laser Equipment

Home / BUVAuncom Laser’s Winter Anti-freeze Maintenance Recommendations for Water-Cooled Laser Equipment

As cold waves hit and temperatures drop sharply, in order to ensure the stable operation of water-cooled laser equipment, such as handheld water-cooled laser welding machines or robot laser welding machines with water chillers, and to prevent equipment damage caused by low temperatures, please perform anti-freeze maintenance on water-cooled laser equipment promptly according to the standard operating guidelines.

Main Risks in Low-Temperature Environments

When laser equipment operates or is stored in environments below 5°C, it can easily cause core components like the laser and external optical path lenses to malfunction due to the low temperature, or lead to freezing in the water-cooling pipes. In severe cases, this may result in deformation or rupture of the internal piping in the water-cooling system. If the equipment is started after pipe rupture, leaking coolant may cause circuit short circuits and corrode precision optical components. To avoid unnecessary losses, please add antifreeze or take other anti-freeze measures for your equipment in a timely manner.
